These long winding smiles embracing the valley
Dancing with stream and singing with the wind
I'm like an idylist
Reading the chapter of life
Wheat fields bending down to longing for the tenderness
The valley is filled with pipers
I listen to the tune speechlessly and follow
wherever the fairy tale goes

When you stare at Manhattan
let the Manhattan skyline be the dreams that you want to achieve

For years Brooklyn stood in the shadow of Manhattan,
but it has now emerged as an apex of creativity and is home to many artists, writers and more.

So don't be afraid to be an outlier,
and show the world what you're made of

Go live the Manhattan life that we've dreamt about.

Trying out the west coast special burger in Texas.

Different state different people different mood
The only thing that stays the same is my In-N-Out burger.

Still that delicious burger that's freshly made.

I'll never love any burgers like my In-N-out double-double animal style with onion just like how I'll never love anyone like ~you~

When it comes to Midtown Ramen,
many would say Totto Ramen is the to go place!

As expected of the famous Totto Ramen in NY,
long queues and long waiting time,
the wait was somewhat worth it
not the best ramen I ate in my life but it was definitely one of the best Japanese ramens I ate in America.

Now I just hope 2019 would come sooner
so I can visit Japan and taste the authentic Japanese Ramen!

Your small town blues, they're melting away
Don't make a brand new start of it, in Old New York
You always make it there, you make it anywhere
Its up to you, New York, New York

New York, New York
I want to wake up in a city, that doesn't sleeps
And find king of the hill one top of the list
A number one

I keep walking forward, never looking back
Because if I ever stop even for a while, seems like thoughts about you will come again

But it's no use since I miss you so much
Memories about you never fade even once

After the long winter, spring will always come
Melting again my once frozen heart
As I look to the night sky, thoughts about you will always come too,
Tonight as I can't sleep again, I wonder if you know?

Hop on the 90 years old roller coaster
as it offers a glimpse into the past

Wonder wheel makes me wonder as I wander
My dreams of growing up into a wonder
slowly withers

I have come to realize how adulting took away all my ambitious thoughts
and I must say that
The youngest me is the bravest me

So,
little child, don't be afraid to dream because
you are at the most fearless stage of your life

Spread your wings and fly high.

If,
Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too

Then,
Heartbreaks are proof that love can be painful too

We use promises to fall in love
but we compromise to stay in love

Promises that failed to be fulfilled

turned into shackles
and
we slowly became prisoners of love
who were trapped in the past

Cheers to a place that has witnessed my growth
As I have turned into a better me than I used to be

The fountain in front of the Nebraska Union
that many had soaked their feet
along with conversations that brought laughter and tears

Huskers would hold a cup of coffee under the trees
writing their uncompleted assignments
and there is me
lying in the hammock
enjoying the exceptionally nice weather in Nebraska today

There is an old saying in Nebraska that
if you don't like the weather, just wait a while.

It can be snowing on a random day in April and
kids can be outside with their tees and shorts playing football on the next day

Football season attracts the sea of red
cheering Go Big Red
The Memorial Stadium still holds an ongoing record
of consecutive sellouts and
on every game day
the stadium becomes the third largest city in the State of Nebraska

As a wise friend once said
The color of Nebraska is red
and the color of your blood is red
Therefore,
Nebraska will always run through your veins.

There is truly
No Place like Nebraska.

They say
We are living
in a world full of color

They say
Every day is a new day
full of blessings

They say
Red is passionate
Red is energetic

But why do I
Only see black and white
in the world full of color

But why do I feel
Every day is a new day
full of sorrows

But why do I see
Red as blood
Red as wound
Red as endless hell

Being bound up in your head will just cause more delusions for you.
Sometimes all you need is to let go.

- Iwin Tay (2018)

It all started
with that beautiful sunset

I still remember how the wind blows
and the smell of the air
it's like nothing I've ever known

I still remember the way you stare
and the look in your eyes
it's like nothing I've ever seen

my heart sailed off
and got lost in
those dreamy eyes of yours

The pretty flower in my heart that is you
It withers and dries, now it hurts
Were you a fantasy or a dream?

Woah woah woah. Hey there! Slow down your pace and take a deep breath. Now take a look around you. Yes, you are doing fine. You are doing perfectly fine. Why the rush my dear friend?

Oh honey, look at you. Hush... don't try to explain now. You're all sweaty and tired. Take my handkerchief and wipe away the fatigue that's written all over your face.

Oh silly you. Why the worry? You will shine when it's your time to shine. You will find what you are looking for when the right time comes. It might take some time for you to reach the goal that you are trying to achieve now but hang in there.

Just keep doing what you are doing now. When in doubt, close your eyes and question yourself. Picture yourself doing the thing that you've always wanted to do. That's right. That smile. You're working towards that smile.

Remember He will always be there to guide you when you are lost.

Don't compare yourself to others. They don't know what you know.

Just in case someone hasn't told you this today... You're amazing and beautiful in your own unique way.

As you can tell I'm not ready to write a sentimental paragraph or poem for this post yet you can just scroll through the pictures I've taken and enjoy it.

The beauty of this blog lies within the pictures (and the words occasionally).
